Guidance Counseling

The Guidance and Counseling Department seeks to foster in students a greater desire and responsibility for their educational and professional life. Saint Mary's liberal arts education provides students with the greatest opportunity for human flourishing by helping them to realize the meaning of their existence among every discipline of inquiry.

Guidance and Counseling supports this mission by offering academic, personal, and college support, as well as by proposing a number of fundamental questions so that students select a post-secondary environment that furthers their knowledge of the Truth and love of the Good. The department appreciates that all students have a specific vocation, and assists them in making good choices that will be formative of their character and role in society.

Guidance counselors welcome the opportunity to work with both parents and students. Please don't hesitate to contact us!

Scholarships for Higher Education developed for

Saint Mary’s High School Students

NOTE:  You should never pay for scholarships, always apply to scholarships via the organization website, never a third party

Seniors should keep in mind that scholarships open around the same time college applications for college are due. Start your search EARLY!!! Summer break after finishing junior year is the perfect time to search. Fall break is the perfect time to apply for most scholarships but pay attention to deadlines and transcript requests.
